Anglian Potters

Kate Winfrey

I have learnt much of my craft in France and am therefore greatly influenced by French pottery, both old and contemporary, handmade and manufactured. I find inspiration in various folk arts from around the world but also from closer to home, my garden and nature inform and influence my work.

Form and function and important, but I must enjoy making the piece, the buyer must enjoy using it and it must make us both smile.

Galleries where my work is to be found include

  • Cusp Gallery at Burghley House, Stanford
  • Gallery 41, Edinburgh
  • Crawford Art Centre, St Andrews
  • Peterborough Art House
  • The Art Apartment, Knaresborough
  • The Priory Gallery in Colchester
  • Gallery 7, Alby Crafts, Norfolk
