Curriculum Vitae
- Born: London 1944
- First introduced to pottery at Tulse Hill Comprehensive by Anglian Potters member Alan Foxley.
- Trained at Goldsmiths College in Sculpture and Ceramics 1961-64
- Attended Adult Education classes in Ceramics at Lambeth AEI and became assistant tutor to Anthony Pacitti
- Accepted on the panel of approved Adult Education Tutors in pottery in 1966. Established first workshop in Greenwich producing slip decorated earthenware.
- Worked for various Inner London Adult Education Institutes including Lambeth, Southwark, Catford, & Greenwich, 1966-72
- Became Full Time Lecturer in Pottery for Greenwich AEI 1972.
- Moved to Norfolk in 1979/80. Continued with small scale range-ware production. Built wood and gas fired kilns.
- Full time Lecturer & Subject Organiser for Greenwich Community College (Greenwich Borough Council after ILEA disbanded)
- 3 month secondment to Belmarsh Prison to establish Art & ceramics department.
- Subject Organiser for 3D area, including Sculpture, 3D Design & Ceramics. Departmental responsibility for organisation of programme for students with additional support needs, until August 2004
- Currently Part Time Ceramics Lecturer at Greenwich Community College (2 days) Established new workshop and showroom in The Gables Yard, Pulham Market Norfolk. I now produce a range of domestic ware in stoneware and earthenware and large thrown and hand-built forms with surface decoration incorporating ancient and contemporary scripts.
- I also offer a programme of courses at the workshop.
